Nobilus is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.

Nobilus is a clone of Thor created by the High Evolutionary as one of his New Immortals.

Fictional character biography

Nobilus was created by the High Evolutionary aboard his starship, New Wundagore, as one of his New Immortals. Along with fellow New Immortals Juvan and Zon, Nobilus was a part of the civilization of the New Men abord New Wundagore. Nobilus was to be a warrior and defender of New Wundagore.

Nobilus was placed in confinement after his creation, but later abducted by Stellaris as her ally against the Red Celestial. Alongside the New Immortals, he battled Thor, and then returned to the New Wundagore with the High Evolutionary.^[1]

Nobilus later first encountered Adam Warlock. Alongside Adam Warlock and the New Men, Nobilus protected the High Evolutionary from the Man-Beast and survivors from Counter-Earth.^[2]

Powers and abilities

Nobilus was cloned from Asgardian cell samples obtained from Thor by the High Evolutionary. As such, he has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes, as well as an extremely long life span and immunity to all Earthly diseases. He is also a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, trained in various forms of ancient and modern armed and unarmed combat techniques with the Knights of Wundagore.

Nobilus sometimes wears body armor composed of alien materials, and uses concussive force blasters.
