Richard Brown (born 13 January 1967 in Nottingham) is a retired English footballer.
Blackburn Rovers Career
In 1990, Blackburn Rovers manager Don Mackay signed the Brown from Kettering Town. Although Brown got off to a slow start, he would eventually become a firm favourite with the Rovers fans and was an integral member of the Blackburn Rovers team which were promoted to the new Premier League in 1992. Upon reaching the Premiership, Brown found first team opportunities limited and was eventually transfered to Stockport.
After Football
Richard now runs Browns Timber Merchants with his younger brother Mick. The store is located on Dock Street in Blackburn.
