Edmonton—Sherwood Park is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 2004. This is a suburban riding in Edmonton.

History

The electoral district was created in 2003 from Elk Island, Edmonton Centre-East and a small part of the Edmonton North riding.

Members of Parliament

This riding has elected the following Member of Parliament:

* 2004-present: Ken Epp - Conservative - He previously represented Elk Island.

Current Member of Parliament

Its Member of Parliament is Ken Epp, a former mathematics instructor. He was first elected to Parliament in the 1993 election. He represents the Conservative Party of Canada. In the last parliamentary session he served as a member of the 'Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics'. Epp has announced he will not be running in the next federal election. Tim Uppal who has previously run in Edmonton Millwoods Beaumont has been selected as the new Conservative candidate for the riding. [http://rickszostak.liberal.ca Rick Szostak] , a University of Alberta professor, is running as the riding's Liberal candidate. Brian LaBelle is the NDP candidate in the riding who has stirred the pot by asking his opponents to match his proposed donation of one thousand dollars per week if elected.
