Steve Smith is a British house musician most notable for being one of the members of the band Dirty Vegas.
Musical career
In 1992, Steve auditioned for a band called Higher Ground, and was taken on as a percussionist. Shortly after joining the bands lead singer left, and Steve stepped forward to take his spot.
After the split of Higher Ground, Steve moved from London to Ibiza, where he wrote song called "Days Go By". Shortly after writing this song, he ran into an old friend and DJ, Paul Harris. Paul had been working with a friend named Ben Harris (no relation). The three of them got together and formed the band Dirty Vegas. The song "Days Go By" went on to win a Grammy Award.
After Dirty Vegas' break-up, Steve decided to continue his musical career. He released his first solo album, entitled "This Town" on February 18, 2008. The album was released on Steve's own music label, "G.A.S. Records".
