Arjun Gupta (born in India) is a successful venture capitalist in the Silicon Valley. Early Life and Education

After receiving a BA Honors in economics from St. Stephen's College (India), Arjun migrated to U.S. as an exchange student. He received a BS and a MS in Computer Science from WSU, Phi Beta Kappa, and a MBA from Stanford. Career

Prior to Stanford business school, Arjun was a software engineer with Tektronix. After graduating from Stanford, he was a strategy consultant for high-tech clients at McKinsey, where he led top management projects for [http://www.apple.com Apple] , AirTouch, AMD, Siemens, and ROLM. Post McKinsey, he was a Vice President of [http://tcgivega.com/aboutus.htm The Chatterjee Group] , an investment advisor to George Soros. In 1996 he founded TeleSoft Partners. Over the last fifteen years, Arjun has overseen investing in and helping build 60+ companies, of which 30+ have been acquired or have gone public, and approximately 15 companies are still private.

Community Foundation

In 2001, Arjun started a foundation to support projects in education, medical research, performing arts and other community endeavors. The foundation has supported numerous projects in the United States, India and Africa. Some of the projects the foundation has supported to date are Gift of Life, [http://www.wildize.org WildiZe Foundation] ,Global Fund for Women and [http://www.friendsofneworleans.org Friends of New Orleans] many others.

Personal

Arjun is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, skiing, and scuba. He has climbed with six Himalayan expeditions to peaks over 20,000 feet high, and was awarded the Grindlay's Bank Mountain Scholarship. He splits his time between San Francisco and Aspen.

Unfortunately, during 2006-08, Arjun went through an acrimonious divorce.
