Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Perak (SEMARAK) or formerly known as Sekolah Menengah Telok Anson, is a secondary school that is located in Teluk Intan in Perak, Malaysia. The school actually was first organized in the year of 1957 before it is officially named in the year of 1965. It is one of the oldest school that provides Malay Stream not only in Perak but also in Malaysia. By the year of 1998, the school are officially listed as a Sekolah Bestari (Smart School).

Emblem

The shield is divided into three sections, where the middle section is coloured red symbolizing determination. The other hues that are used are black, white, and yellow which are the official colour for the State of Perak.

In the centre of the emblem, is a wreath made from flower of rice which circulates another symbol which is a book which represents knowledge. On top of the book is the symbols that represent fields that this school provided which is an atomic coil which represents the field of science and also a wheel which symbolize technologies and vocasional field. Passing through the symbol of book is a torch which represents the Torch of Knowldege.

chool's History

It is firstly organized in the year of 1958 with the name of Sekolah Menengah Telok Anson commomerating the name of Telok Anson. During that time, some students had to took a lift in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Abdul Aziz while the new building for the school are under development and construction. By January 13 1964, new buildings are build and officially officiated by Sultan Idris Shah of Perak on January 17 1965. But the school that is build is lacking of proper amenities because, there were only few blocks were build including few classes, a science lab, an ERT room, a boys hostel, and two houses for teachers. In the year of 1971 more new blocks were build such as a big hall and a block that can accommodate labs for the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.In commomeration of the state of Perak, the school was renamed in the year of 1974 with the name of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Perak replacing the name of Sekolah Menengah Telok Anson and developed more facilities and amenities and followed by the formation of Form 6 Science Stream. In the year of 1986, three more buildings were build which include 10 more classrooms and one staffroom and were officiated by Perak's YB Menteri Besar, Dato' Sri Ramli Ngah Talib and in the year of 1995, a lecture hall are finishly build, before later addition of buildings by the year of 2002 and 2007.
