"Porno Gil" is the third episode of the American situation comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm". It originally aired on October 29, 2000 on HBO.

Plot

Larry and Cheryl attend a dinner party at the request of an ex-porn actor named Gil (Bob Odenkirk). After arriving an hour late, Larry does little to redeem himself when he refuses to take his shoes off and then breaks a lamp. After being thrown out, Larry realizes he's left his watch behind and has to do the dreaded 'double good bye'.

Jeff is taken to hospital for emergency bypass surgery and asks Larry to remove his secret porno stash incase anything should happen to him. Larry becomes distracted by a video whilst undertaking the porn extraction, and is caught by Jeff's parents.

Production

*Director Robert B. Weide pitched the porn stash story line to Larry David after he had been to a friend's funeral. "My friend was single, so we sort of half-jokingly, half-drunkenly started to wonder if there was anything in his house he wouldn't want his family to find. That led to a joke between us that if one of us dies, you definitely go through the house."
