Chute (6-9:30 a.m.) Barbara Davitt, who marks 45 years at WATR in November 2008, hosts "Coffee Break" from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Having debuted in the mid-1960s, it is one of the longest-running shows in radio. Regional broadcasting veteran Ed Flynn hosts "Talk of the Town," a talk program focusing on local and national issues, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Weekend programming includes the traditional and contemporary sounds of Polish music on "The Sophie Zembruski Show." The show dates back to 1934 when it was originated on WATR by Zembruski's late husband, bandleader Victor Zembruski (1912-1976).
WATR marks its 75th anniversary in 2009.
