The "KKV" (Kerry King V) is an electric guitar designed by Kerry King of Slayer for B.C. Rich guitars. Its shape was heavily influenced by the Gibson Flying V, hence the "V" in the name.

B.C. Rich also offers a more expensive signature version that is exactly like King's and a cheaper tremolo-less Metal Master version.

The same person who designed this guitar, designed Kerry's tribal tattoos.

Non-BC Rich Versions

The KKV has not always been exclusive to BC Rich. The guitar was briefy made by ESP Guitars when BC Rich closed down their handmade department during a period in the 90s. When the company changed hands and reopened it's custom shop, King returned to BC Rich. This model featured a George Lynch headstock and was finished in black and black with a red swirl. During some point, King decorated the guitar with numerous stickers. This guitar was used along with the tribal BC Rich KKV during the filming of the music video of Bloodline from the album God Hates Us All during scenes where blood covered the band.
