Traditions
Patterson practices a strong tradition at graduation. The junior class makes a cedar rope before graduation and the seniors carry it out into the ceremony. The rope is given to the Junior Class President to hold until next year. When they become seniors and graduate, pieces of the cedar rope are broken off and carried by each of the graduates into the ceremony.
