Teges Corporation was founded in February 2001 as a software development firm specializing in electronic medical records and clinical research. Teges is a privately held Delaware Corporation with headquarters in Miami, FL. Teges’ area of expertise focuses primarily on providing web-based resources for clinicians to manage and monitor critically ill patients in real-time.

History

Teges is a Biblical term with Latin roots meaning rug. In ancient times the word teges was used to refer to a mat or covering made of sedge or rushes. [M. Val. Stone, page:386, Whittaker, 1885.] Teges is also used to refer to an individual from a region of Greece called Tegeaeus (of Tegea) located in Arcadia. [A History of Greece by The Right Rev. Connop Thirlwall Lord Biship of St. David's, Vol. I. page:xxvi, Harper & Brothers, 1845.] Tegea is the home of the temple Athena Alea.
