Walter Bettridge (born in Oakthorpe) was an English footballer who played for Burton United and Chelsea. He was a lightweight right back who was fearless in stopping forwards [cite book|last=Unknown|first=|title=Cup Final Programme|date=1915] .

Walter Bettridge had played for Burton United but by 1915 he was playing for Chelsea.
