Verbesina encelioides (American dogweed, butter daisy, crown-beard, golden crown-beard or South African daisy) is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. The species is native to the United States and Mexico.[1] It is naturalized in the Middle East, Spain, Argentina, Australia and the Pacific islands.[2]
