iloog is a Gentoo-based Live CD-type computer operating system, focused at serving the needs of students and academic environments. The Live CD includes a minimalistic graphical environment based on Fluxbox and ROX-Filer, together with a plethora of scientific/academic applications like GNU Octave, NAMD, Merlin, full LaTeX support and development tools for several programming languages including C, Java, Python, Ruby, Haskell and Perl. This Live CD can be used for data recovery as TestDisk and PhotoRec utilities are also present.
