"Alcimochthes" is a genus of crab spider found in China, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan.

It is the only genus of crab spider that is able to produce a high-pitched sound by rubbing its mandibles together, resembling a screamVerify source|date=January 2008.
