December 10 ,1976 ), better known as Kuniva and also known as Hanz G and Rondell Beene, is one of the members of theDetroit hip hop groupD12 . He has appeared on both "Devil's Night" and "D12 World ". He also appeared onEminem 's original underground EP "Infinite", but didn't rap on it. Along with fellow D12 member and friendKon Artis , he is a member ofDa Brigade as well as co-founder of rap labelRunyon Ave. Records , named after their home street in Detroit.D12 Role
Kuniva is arguably the most low-key rapper in D12 after the low skilled member named "bizarre". While others in the group such as
Eminem and Proof receive a lot of attention for their unique styles and personalities, Kuniva is frequently overlooked. However, that is not saying he lacks the ability of his co-members. He is known for having very consistent lyrics, usually appearing in the middle or end verses of songs. Yet to put out a solo album or mix tape, he seems to be one of the most dedicated members to the group.Alter-Ego
In the works of D12 Kuniva occasionally assumes his alter-ego, Rondell Beene (achieved by wearing false teeth and effecting a gravelly voice), a loud-mouthed pimp from
Chicago .It is also suggested from Devil's Night that Rondell Beene strives to become a rapper, with such references as "Blow My Buzz": In Proof's verse after Proof raps "Only one good demo out of three-thousand", Rondell Beene says, "Yo, I ain't wanna rap for you anyway so peace out then, punk." Also, Rondell Beene complains about not getting a spot in the record label on "Obie Trice (Skit)" before Obie's verse. Also, on the skit 'Commercial Break' from D12 World, he acts out his alter being annoyed at 'Young Zee'Other
Kuniva also had a cameo alongside the rest of D12 ("without" Eminem) in the 2005 movie "The Longest Yard", appearing as one of the "Basketball Convicts" in the credits.
On his official MySpace page, he has recently uploaded three solo songs. For the album name it says, "Kuniva Mixtape", but these tracks will not be on any of Kuniva's mixtapes or albums. He is currently working on a mixtape, tentatively titled Retribution, which could be released in June of 2008.
