Tom Gleeson (comedian)

Tom Gleeson is a thirty-three year old comedian from Melbourne, Australia. In 1999, he was a part of a four-piece Australian band called The Fantastic Leslie, along with Andrew Hansen from The Chaser, Cameron Bruce from The Sideshow and James Fletcher. Gleeson played the drums and occasionally vocals.

Gleeson, apart from being recognised by his red hair, is also well known for playing 'Australian Fast Bowler' from the Australian comedy skitHOUSE. skitHOUSE was an AFI Award nominated Roving Enterprises production. It was originally shown on Channel Ten, along with other Australian comics, such as Tripod and Peter Helliar. It is now shown on the Comedy Channel.

He is a regular on Channel 7's The Morning Show, on which he appears every Friday morning. He has also appeared on Rove, Sunrise, The Sideshow, Australia's Brainiest Radio Star, Big Questions, World Comedy Tour, Stand Up Australia and the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

One of Gleeson's stand up shows, TOM ON!, was a sell-out show and was nominated for a Helpmann award. He is currently on Mix 101.1 in Melbourne presenting breakfast with Brigitte Duclos and George McEncroe.
