Jachaleria was a dicynodont herbivore that lived in the Upper Triassic in Carnian, approximately 220 million years. "Jachaleria", is one of the last representatives of dicynodonts in the world, occurring in Argentina and Brazil. It was a way without teeth, as Stahleckeria but of a similar size Dinodontosaurus.

Species

*"Jachaleria candelariensis" [ [http://www.royalsul.com.br/paleo/meio.asp?dinocod=15 Jachaleria candelariensis.] ] is found near the of Candelaria City, in geopark of paleorrota in Brazil. Perhaps 3 meters long and weighing 300 kilograms. Throughout the early part of the Upper Triassic dicynodonts were absent from paleorrota and rhynchosaurs were the dominant herbivore. At the end of Carnian, however, was extinguished rhynchosaurs reappear in the records of dicynodonts. It occurs in Caturrita Formation.

*"Jachaleria colorata" [ [http://www.palaeos.com/Mesozoic/Triassic/Norian.5.htm Jachaleria colorata.] ] is found in Argentina, in the Los Colorados Formation. It is very similar to "Jachaleria candelariensis".
