Sheerness-on-Sea railway station is on the Sheerness Line in north Kent, and serves the town of Sheerness. Train services are provided by Southeastern.
The only platform ever used is platform 1, however when the line was double track, platform 2 had hourly direct services (in BR days) to London Victoria. Platform two was used for services to Leysdown and Minster on the Sheppey Light Railway
After the withdrawal of the Class 411/412 Ceps, services from August 1998 to December 2006 were operated by the Class 508. From the December 2006 timetable change, Class 466 with two cars are the main units that run on the line. Occasionally, a newly refurbished Class 508 is used to replace one of the Networkers if it has broken down. During engineering works, there are odd services to Sheerness from London
ervices
The typical off-peak service from the station is two trains per hour to Sittingbourne, for connections to London.
