Raja Haider Buksh confirmed his jagir (84 villages) after defeating the Sikhs. Raja Jahandad Khan remained Assistant Commissioner, Punjab. He married the daughter of Afghan KingSher Ali Khan .The Gakhar Chiefs from 19th Century onwards include:
*Capt. Raja Haider Zaman - s/o Raja Jahandad Khan, born 1892, educated at MAO College, Aligarh; Imperial Cadet Corps, Dehra Dun in 1912, was awarded the Delhi Durbar Medal 1911, Silver Jubilee Medal 1935 and Coronation Durbar Medal 1937, M.B.E. [cr.1938] .
*Raja Rukan Zaman - s/o Raja Haider Zaman, born 1921, married the daughter of Khan ofMakhad - a prominent estate inAttock . He was educated at Cambridge School, Dehra Dun and Aitchison College, Lahore.
