The ARARAT Center for Strategic Research is a leading Armenian think tank on security issues. It was founded in August 2006 and is led by a Yerevan-based historian and political scientist Dr Armen Ayvazyan (official website of Dr Armen Ayvazyan).

Role
The ARARAT Center positions itself as a home-grown, politically unaffiliated academic research center working to leave a solid footprint on the path to establishing an independent national school of strategic thought, as its focal long-term objective.
The Center aims primarily at:
- analyzing the international political developments affecting Armenia's interests, thus
- identifying the national security threats and needs, and
- making its analyses of use to the decision makers as well as the Armenian public at large.
Research
The Center specializes in research into Armenia's geopolitics, military history, identity and much more. Its website offers bulk of information - in-depth research, analyses and data - on the Armenian-Turkish conflict, Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), Javakhk, Information Warfare, National Identity and the related fields.
Publications
PRO-PATRIA is one of the most exclusive and sought-out works published by the Center. Released within 2006-2007, "Pro-Patria" is two-volume publication series of selected studies with analyses and facts on strategy and security, compiled and edited by the Head of the Center Dr. Armen Ayvazyan.
