Vertex distance

Vertex distance

Vertex distance is roughly defined as the distance between a person's glasses (spectacles) and their eyes. Moving the glasses closer or further from the eyes changes the optical properties of the system, including magnification and focusing power (diopters of refractive power delivered to the eye).
