It was released in 1995 by Org Records. In 2000, P-Vine Records re-released this album followed by Jagjaguwar in 2002 for North American/European distribution.
On the Love Beach is essentially solo album by Shinji Shibayama with an assortment of guests. Although Masako Takeda is credited with the writing of songs, she appears to be absent in the performance or recording of the music and is instead credited with 'Wind'.
Tracks 3 and 7, both called "Deserting You", have almost-similar lyrics, but the songwriting and instrumentation are entirely different.
