Freebird Records

Freebird Records is an independent record label, established in Eindhoven, The Netherlands in 1998. The label has specialised in stoner rock, but tries to release music by acts and artists that are on the edge of that genre. [www.freebirdrecords.com/news/news.html, but even similar text on debut CD from 1998.] In the beginning, the label had an international approach, with bands from the United States, Chile, Brazil, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Italy.

Freebird launched acts like Dozer, Astrosoniq, Wallrus, and Solace. They are often regarded as a good "first step" into an international career.

The sublabel "Under Her Black Wings" was launched in 2005. They specialise in black metal and death metal.

Freebird has offices in Leiden, The Netherlands and Nybro, Sweden.
