Bogale is a town in the Ayeyarwady Division of south-west Myanmar. It is the seat of the Bogale Township in the Pyapon District. It can be accessed not only by water transportation, but also by land while most of delta dwellers could not have this kind of chances. At least 10,000 people are believed to have perished in the town after Cyclone Nargis struck the region on May 2, 2008.
