Fréhel ( _br. Frehel, Gallo: "Fèrhaèu") is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Bretagne in northwestern France.

This commune was previously named Pléhérel. Between 1972 and 2004, the commune of Plévenon was included in Pléhérel; the name of this association became Fréhel, from the name of the Cap Fréhel on which these communes are located. In 2004, Plévenon became a distinct commune, but the name remained Fréhel.

Demography

The inhabitants of Fréhel are known in French as "Fréhélois".
