Martin Beno

Martin Beno (born August 24, 1986, in Horn Lake, Mississippi) is a North American professional baseball player. A graduate of Horn Lake High School, he is a right-handed pitching prospect in the Washington Nationals organization.

Beno attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Oklahoma State University. He was selected by Washington in the 36th round of the 2007 amateur entry draft.

In 2007 Beno pitched for the Vermont Lake Monsters in the short-season New York-Penn League. He logged 21⅔ innings in 16 relief appearances, winning 2 games, losing 1, saving 1, and recording a 4.15 ERA. During that span, he struck out 38 batters while issuing only 16 bases on balls.
