Robert Funaro (born January 23, 1959) is an American film and television actor. Funaro is best known for the role of Eugene Pontecorvo in the Golden Globe Award-winning television series "The Sopranos". His last episode on The Sopranos 'Members Only' in which he played the lead won an Emmy award for "Best Dramatic Episode' in 2006 for producer/writer Terry Winters.

Funaro was born Robert Funaro in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. Funaro is of Italian ancestry. His Italian ancestors were from Naples. [cite web He has a fleeting resemblance to the Punk Rocker Johnny Thunders.
