This is a list of knitting stitches.Over the long history of knitting across the world, hundreds of different knitting stitches have been created. This page contains the beginnings of a comprehensive catalogue of the types of stitches available to hand knitters and those learning how to knit.

An alphabetical list of these stitches can be found below, with photographs of each type of stitch and a link to instructions where this is available.
