"Something You Forgot" is a single by rapper Lil Wayne. It samples "What About Love" by Heart. The song was originally featured on Lil Wayne's mixtape, "The Drought Is Over 2". It was rumored that it would appear on the album, "Tha Carter III", although this has proved not to be the case. Though not a single It has received airplay on some urban Hip-Hop and R&B radio stations.

ong Information

It was originally thought that the song was written to his daughter's mother Antonya "Toya" Johnson but it has also been said that it was written to R&B artist Nivea. He states in his lyrics "You give me back my girl and you give me back my life/Give me back my girl and you give me back my life". He makes references to his daughter and mother which arouse speculation that the song was indeed written to his high school sweetheart, ex-wife and the mother of his daughter. Wayne also says "My momma asked about you, my partners did too I know your daughter will be so amazin' like you" which could be referring to Nivea who only a few years had a daughter by the singer/song-writer, The-Dream or could be referring to his own daughter who he had with "Toya" Johnson. One other main reason why the song is believed to be written to the R&B singer Nivea is that he says "We from New Orleans she was from Georgia" Nivea is from Georgia, not Antonya "Toya" Johnson who is from New Orleans, lives in Georgia but is not originally from the state. Recently Lil Wayne was on a show titled, The Blueprint on BET, where Big Tigger asks Wayne about his relationship with Nivea, In which Wayne states, "I love Nivea".

Remixes

There is a remix to the song with rapper Rick Ross who covered the song himself which is called "Shot To The Heart". There have been other unofficial remixes to the song.
