Emerald Air is a defunct airline founded in 1978 in Austin, Texas [ [http://www.aerofiles.com/airlines-am.html airlines ] ] , and operated until 1991. It was formerly known as Emerald Valley Airlines [ [http://www.airtimes.com/cgat/usb/emerald.htm Emerald Air ] ] . It filed bankruptcy in 1991, and then became part of Braniff.
