Swami Pranavanda Saraswathi (known previously as Ponniah [http://sivananda.org.my/swamiji/pranavanandaji.htm "Bio of Swami Pranavanda"] ] ) was a founding member of the Divine Life Society in Malaysia..

Early life

Swamiji was born in Alaveddi, a village in Jaffna District, Sri Lanka on August 28 1908.

Spiritual Life

In 1953 he met his guru Swami Sivananda Saraswati in person for the first time.

Death

Swami Pranavananda attained mahasamadhi on 1982 in Sivananda Ashram, Batu Caves, Malaysia.
