Thomas L. Evans (archaeologist)

Thomas L. Evans (born 10 October, 1966), is an archaeologist specializing in the study of gender and identity in Iron Age Europe, landscape studies and the practical application of emerging technologies within archaeology. At present he serves as a Research Fellow at Oxford Archaeology, was previously Head of Geomatics at the same institution. [cite book|title=|last=Evans and Daly|publisher=Routledge, Inc.|year=2004]

Author of "Quantified Identities: A Statistical Summary and Analysis of Iron Age Cemeteries in North-Eastern Frace 600 - 130 BC, BAR International Series 1226." (Archaeopress, 2004) and co-editor along with Patrick Daly of "Digital Archaeology: Bridginge Method and Theory"(Routledge, 2006). He received his B.A. with honors in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1987, an M.Phil. in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge in 1988, an M.A. in archaeology from Cornell University in 1992, and a D.Phil. in Archaeology from the Oxford University in 2001.
