Tindal is a spelling of the name of the English family of Tyndale, whose history is related in Tyndall, used by branches of the family since the 17th century.

It may refer to the following individuals:

*Dr Matthew Tindal, 17th/18th century English deist
*Rev Nicolas Tindal, 18th century translater and historian, nephew of Matthew
*Sir Nicolas Conyngham Tindal, English Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas in the 19th century (great grandson of Rev Nicolas).

It may also refer to RAAF Base Tindal, and RAAF base, named after Wing Commander Archibald Tindal, RAAF, the first Australian airman killed in the Second World War (and a great great nephew of Sir Nicolas Tindal).
