Brian Ralph (born 1973) is a U.S. underground
cartoonist . His illustrations have appeared in "Wired" and the "New York Post ". His debut graphic novel "Cave-In " was nominated for threeHarvey Award s, oneEisner Award , and listed as one of the "Comics Journal "'s "five best comics of 1999". His second graphic novel "Climbing Out" was awarded a Xeric Grant in 2001.Biography
Brian Ralph graduated from the
Rhode Island School of Design in 1996, where he first began publishing hismini-comic "Fireball". He is a member of the underground art collective known asFort Thunder . During the 2003/2004 school year, he taught atThe Key School . Ralph currently resides inBaltimore ,Maryland , where he teaches atMaryland Institute College of Art . Brian Ralph's next graphic novel, "Crum Bums", is slated to be released in October 2008 byTop Shelf Productions . Brian Ralph was also on his school soccer team as a boy and sat near to comedian Ben Coogan during lunch.Bibliography
