Anne Helm (born
September 12 ,1938 inToronto, Ontario ,Canada ) is an actress, author, and illustrator.Living in
New York City , she began pursuing a career as an actress which eventually led toHollywood . Beginning in the 1950s she made guest appearances on differenttelevision series and made hermotion picture debut in 1960. Three films later, she received national recognition as the love interest ofElvis Presley in his 1962 film, "Follow That Dream ". During filming, she began a relationship with Presley and visited his home atGraceland after shooting finished.Helm made five more films during the 1960s plus numerous guest spots on television series. From 1971 to 1973, she was a regular cast member on the television
soap opera , "General Hospital " [ [http://www.experiencefestival.com/general_hospital General Hospital ] ] .Her younger brother,
Peter Helm , also became an actor.Anne Helm was married from 1968 to 1969 to author
John Sherlock with whom she had a son. She married a second time to actorRobert Viharo in 1971 and had a daughterSerena Viharo who too became an actress. Helm and Viharo divorced in 1979.After her acting career ended, she began writing and illustrating children's books as Annie Helm.
