1. Why are we changing from IIB to KBC?
This is the 30th anniversary of KBC’s ownership of IIB Bank. The name change from IIB Bank and IIB Homeloans to KBC Bank Ireland plc and KBC Homeloans respectively represents a new and very exciting phase in the IIB and KBC relationship which commenced in 1978 when KBC acquired a 75% shareholding increasing this to 100% in 1999.
It is part of KBC’s initiative to bring a consistent global identity to its worldwide operations. By adopting the name of our parent, we will:
