Lori Robinson

Lori J. Robinson is a United States Air Force Brigadier General who was the Commander of the 552nd Air Control Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As commander, General Robinson is responsible for Air Combat Command's fleet of E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft and for supporting combatant commanders worldwide. She leads approximately 3,900 men and women, and manages resources that include 32 aircraft valued at US$9.6 billion.

Career

General Robinson entered the Air Force in 1982 as a graduate from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, where she received her commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. General Robinson is an air battle manager, having filled several positions, including Instructor at the United States Air Force Fighter Weapons School, Chief of Tactics in the 965th Airborne Warning and Control Squadron (AWACS), and Commander, Command and Control Operations Division, United States Air Force Weapons School. Her staff assignments include command briefer at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Deputy Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to the Director at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and the Executive Officer to the Commander of Air Combat Command. During her assignment as Commander, 552d Operations Group, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., General Robinson was deployed to Oman from March 27, 2003 to May 21, 2003, where she served as the vice wing commander, 405th Air Expeditionary Wing. In Oman, she led over 2,000 Airmen flying B-1s, KC-135s, and E-3s in both Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. General Robinson was an Air Force Fellow at The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Prior to her Pentagon assignments; General Robinson commanded the 17th Training Wing, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. Before taking command of the 552nd ACW, General Robinson was Chief at the Air Force House Liaison Office and Legislative Liaison at the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
