Eastern / Greek Orthodox Bible

The Eastern / Greek Orthodox Bible (EOB) is an English language edition of the Bible published and controlled by Greek Orthodox Christians with limited copyright control and within a collaborative framework.

The EOB New Testament, available as a separate volume, is a translation of the so-called Patriarchal Text of 1904. This is a Byzantine text-type that is used by all the Greek-speaking Orthodox Churches. The EOB New Testament follows the Patriarchal Text but footnotes all major variant readings.

The EOB Old Testament is based on the Greek Septuagint and features more than 200 pages of introductory material discussing the issue of the Old Testament canon, inspiration, sufficiency, etc.
