United People's Party (Jamaica)

The United People's Party is a political party in Jamaica, led by Antonnette Haughton-Cardenas. At the last elections, 16 October 2002, the party won no seats.

The United People's Party of Jamaica represents the inter-cultural wing of the progressive liberals who believe in greater economic opportunity for the indigineous people there. In 1987, the Party underwent a philosophical move to the left of the political spectrum after a bad storm season.
