Its seat is the village of Besko, which lies approximately convert|20|km|mi|0 west of Sanok and convert|51|km|mi|0|abbr=on south of the regional capital Rzeszów. The gmina also contains the villages of Mymoń and Poręby.

Massacre during Second World War
