The Vermont Air National Guard (VtANG), also known as "The Green Mountain Boys" [ [http://www.vt.ang.af.mil/index.aspx Vermont Air National Guard] ] , is the state militia of the state of Vermont.
VtANG has a two-fold purpose:
* To supplement the active duty forces of the United States Air Force with equipment and combat-ready personnel to be utilized in times of war or during a national emergency.
* To assist the State of Vermont during disasters or emergencies affecting the state.
