Ellen Bry (born February 13 1951) is an American actress. She is most famous for her portrayal of nurse-turned-vigilante "Shirley Daniels" on the hospital drama "St. Elsewhere".

Bry was a graduate of the Stamford, CT public schools and Tufts University (cum laude). She found out about auditions for St. Elsewhere because her boyfriend and future husband John Masius was one of the show's creators and producers.
