Frank Barlow (historian)

Frank Barlow (born 1911) is a British historian, known particularly for biographies of medieval figures. He has been Emeritus Professor of History, since 1977, at the University of Exeter [ [http://www.admin.exeter.ac.uk/calendar/live/council/emeritus.htm The University of Exeter - Calendar 2007/2008 - Emeritus Professors ] ] .

Life

He was Professor of History at Exeter, 1953-76; and a Fellow of both the British Academy and the Royal Society of Literature. [ [http://www.rslit.org/fellows.htm RSL Fellows ] ] He was awarded the CBE for services to medieval history in 1989.
