Excellence (Mecha)

The Excellence is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series by Banpresto. It has appeared as a playable unit in Super Robot Wars Reversal, Super Robot Wars Original Generations and Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden series.

Appearance

The Excellence is a unique mobile weapon, able to function in a variety of frames, each with its own distinct appearance and weaponry. At its core, the EXF-02 Excellence AF (where the "AF" stands of "Argent Fighter") resembles a common fighter aircraft. Carrying only its pilot, it is the very core of the Excellence machine and its many frames. The EXF-02C Excellence Cosmodriver is the first of the Excellence frames, decorated in a deep, purple color, with large-scale boosters attached to its back. Highlights of orange, white and green are encrusted on multiple areas of the chassis. The EXF-02S Excellence Striker is the second frame in the series, with a protruding horn, mounted on its head and a giant, detachable weapon, located on its right hand. Its feet are also mounted with a pair of protruding, movable spikes. This unit has red and orange as its color scheme, with black at the tip of its horn, detachable weapon and spikes.

The third frame in the series is the EXF-02G Excellence Gunner. This unit appears much bulkier, having to carry a massive consortment of heavy artillery weapons. A large weapons pack is mounted on the back of the machine, with two long-range beam cannons sticking out from the pack. Covered mostly in green, the shoulders and knees display some blue, while its joints are splashed in white. The EXF-02F Excellence Flyer is given a pair of white, booster wings, mounted on the back, similar to the Cosmodriver frame's, but appearing more elegant. The horn on this frame appears at the back of the head, resembling a sort of crown. More slender in design, the Flyer frame is decorated in blue, with white around most of its joints and gold around the chest region. The EXF-02D Excellence Diver is the fifth frame, and like the Flyer frame, appears slimmer than most of the other frames. Its most distinguishing feature are a pair of fins mounted on the back, replacing the boosters on most of its other frames. The Excellence Diver sports a set of gold horns at the back of its head, appearing like a pair of antennae. The Diver frame has aquatic blue and gray for most of its chassis and fins.

The EXF-02L Excellence Lightning and the EXF-02E Eternal are the final frames in the series. While its previous frames were of the real robot class, the appearance of the Lightning and Eternal frames give them a super robot appearance, with the Lightning sporting a bulky, yet agile chassis, with a golden crown, in the shape of a lightning bolt, mounted on its head. A pair of red-black wings on its back accompany its appearance, and most of the unit is decorated in a variety of red, orange, green, black and white. The Eternal looks much slender and feminine, with a golden halo, in place of a crown on its head. Unique to the Eternal frame are two modules linked to the torso of the unit. The machine is dominantly white in color, with gold, blue and green on multiple areas of the chassis, and purple on the fingertips.
