Kieran Mitchell is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera "Shortland Street", portrayed by English actor Adam Rickitt. He owns the IV bar and restaurant.

Kieran arrived in Ferndale in late June 2007. He was described as a very mysterious man. He travelled to Thailand before he arrived in Ferndale as a pimp. When he first came to Ferndale, both Libby Jeffries and Claire Solomon took a liking to him. In the end Kieran chose Libby, but he and Claire hung out and eventually Libby caught Kieran in bed with Claire. Soon after, Claire was the first victim of the Ferndale Strangler and Kieran became the prime suspect, but it was later revealed that Joey Henderson was the serial killer.

Kieran has been trying to win Libby back because he still loves her and he knows she does but she doesn't want to admit it.

As of May, Libby and Kirean are dating again .

Kieran has lately got into a battle with Libby about healthy eating. Kieran and Libby have finally started dating after months of messing around. Libby has also moved in with Kieran.

Now Keiren has strated up some illegal dance parties and is getting himself and Libby in serious danger with the underground dance society.His character is consumed by money and will put the people he loves in danger by getting it.

Kieran has proposed to Libby, and although she is wearing the engagement ring and was seen flicking through wedding magazines has said she will not marry Kieran until she can fully trust him.
