Kangamiut dike swarm

The Kangamiut dike swarm is a 2.04 billion year old dike swarm located in the Søndre Strømfjord region of western Greenland [ [http://www.geus.dk/publications/bull/nr11/nr11_p061-086.pdf Mayborn, K.R. & Lesher, C.E. 2006: Origin and evolution of the Kangâmiut mafic dyke swarm, West Greenland. The dikes cut archaen orthogneisses and are exposed along approximately Unit km|150|0 of the coast and a similar distance up to the inland ice to the east, covering an area of about 18,000 km². To the north it is bounded by the paleoproterozoic Ikertôq shear zone and to the south the boundary is gradational with a gradual reduction in the density of dikes.
