- Victor Ginzburg
Victor Ginzburg is a mathematician who works in
representation theory and innoncommutative geometry .He is mostly known for his contribution to geometric representation theory, especially, for his works on representations ofquantum groups andHecke algebra s,on the geometricLanglands program (Satakeequivalence of categories ), and on Koszul duality for algebras andoperads (cf.Koszul algebra ).Ginzburg received his Ph.D. at Moscow State University (Russia) in 1985,under the direction of A. Kirillov and I. Gelfand. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics at the
University of Chicago ." [http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/060608/gta-ginzburg.shtml] "," [http://www.ams.org/distribution/mmj/vol7-4-2007/ginzburg-birthday.html] "* N. Chriss, V. Ginzburg, Representation theory and complex geometry. Birkhäuser Boston, Inc., Boston, MA, 1997.
