History

The station went on the air as KKTY-FM on 1992-05-01. On 1992-09-01, the station changed it's call sign to KWOG-FM. On 1993-12-02 to the current KKTY. In the Media

In the television show Saved By The Bell, the fictional school radio station was KKTY (98.6 FM). The current station used the call sign for three months between the show's 3rd and 4th season, and did not begin using it again until after the show ended (May 1993).
