Charles Ludlow Livingston

Charles Ludlow Livingston (1800 - 1873) was an American politician.

Life

He was a great-great-grandson of Robert Livingston (1654-1728), a grandson of Peter Van Brugh Livingston, and son of Philip Peter Livingston (1740-1810, state senator from 1789 to 1793 and from 1795 to 1798) and his wife Cornelia Van Horne Livingston (b. 1759).

Charles L. Livingston was a member from New York County of the New York State Assembly from 1829 to 1833, and was Speaker in 1832 and 1833. He was a member of the New York State Senate from the 1st District from 1834 to 1837.

He married Margaret L. Allen, and they had a daughter Catherine.
